COLLIDE
2016
The Collide series explores the imagery created when conflicting materials meet. Miniature process paintings were made on microscope slides using materials such as oil, water, salt, sugar, cola, washing up liquid, acrylic paint, white spirit, food colouring and PVA glue. As resisting materials, they become dynamic and begin to produce images within the boundaries of the slide. These were then viewed under the microscope and photographed at 10x and 40x magnification.
